2026 Summer Recreation Signup is OPEN!

CHANGES TO AGE FOR SOFTBALL ONLY: AGE ON 8/31/2025.
BASEBALL REMAINS THE SAME AGE ON 1/1/2026.

Salem Summer Recreation signup can be done on-line or in person.

On-line registration can be completed by filling out & submitting the on-line form on the sidebar.

Sioux Empire United Way, Connecting Kids Program, provides financial assistance for children to participate in a youth development activity who would otherwise not be able to due to lack of financial resources.  Students in grades k-8 are eligible for one Connecting Kids scholarship per calenda year. Salem’s pool passes/swimming lessons or the summer recreation programs are qualifying programs. Click on "Connecting Kids" in the right sidebar for the application form. 

On-line Payments:
The City of Salem has contracted with the third party vendor GovPayNet to offer the option to process your Salem Water Works bill payment and your Summer Rec & Pool fees electronically via Debit/ Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AmEx) or electronic check.

A 2.95% non-refundable service fee* will be charged by GovPayNet to process your electronic payment. There is a $3.99 minimum fee for all transactions. A $2.95* service fee will be charged for eCheck Payments. *eCheck transaction price changes to $3.99 effective March 2026.  This fee is not collected by or remitted to the City of Salem.
